Hi again!
At the moment, we are planning a series of events and programmes that would raise money and/or awareness for the Wings of Hope charity.
We are organising a choir and also several solo and ensemble acts to perform at a shopping centre!!!. We hope to be able to, while enjoying ourselves, to raise awareness of the children's needs. We have written to Brent Cross shopping centre, and plan to send letters or emails to other shopping centres too. If this plan can go ahead, we want to give out flyers at the shopping centre while performing or in between acts that give information on the charity and details on where they can donate.
Also, we are organising small bake sales within our school on evenings where school events take place e.g. Parents' Evenings and school concerts.
We also have discussed with a teacher of the possibility of tutoring younger students at school for a small donation.

How to donate
If you would like to donate money to this charity, please donate at: www.justgiving.com/flyhigh
Any amount would be much appreciated-and it all goes towards educating children!
Donating through JustGiving is a great way to donate-it's simple, fast and secure. And if you are a British taxpayer, we are able to claim back 28% that would otherwise go to taxes!
Just to give you a general idea of the amount of money it takes to educate a child, it takes £120 to educate a child in Malawi for a year. That's roughly the cost of an iPod! And in India, it takes £150 to fund a child's education for a year. That's even less than the amount of money it takes to buy a coffee everyday for a year! Also, a child's education for a whole month costs less than the amount spent on an average family's weekly shopping at the supermarket!
So please dig deep and donate to this worthwhile charity.
